TURKEY (TNS) The results of economic development are coming out after the recent visit of the Turkish President to Pakistan. During this visit, 24 agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed between the two countries. Pakistan is ready to welcome new investors in various sectors. The Prime Minister of Pakistan is keen on the restoration and strengthening of the country’s economy, while Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has expressed the commitment of the Pakistan Army to provide all possible cooperation to the government to put Pakistan on the path of development and prosperity. For this purpose, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has made special arrangements to please foreign investors. Addressing the ceremony of signing the memorandums of understanding and agreements with Pakistan, he said that they intend to take the bilateral trade between the two countries to five billion dollars. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and 24 agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed between Pakistan and Turkey. After the signing ceremony of the memoranda and agreements, the Turkish President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan held a joint press conference. President Asif Ali Zardari expressed these views during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan at the Presidential House. He said that “we support Pakistan’s efforts to resolve the Kashmir issue. Pakistani support on the Cyprus issue is very important to us.”
The people of both countries have deep ties, ’We will continue to work to further strengthen the relations’’.
Turkey will have an important role in Pakistan’s education sector. They intend to take bilateral trade between the two countries to five billion dollars.
Relations between Turkey and Pakistan have long been strong and friendly, based on various aspects. The people of the two countries have a deep-rooted cultural, historical and religious ties.
The relationship between Turkey and Pakistan not only affects the political and economic situation in the region, but also serves as an important source of cooperation and harmony between the two at the global level.

At the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Turkish President paid a two-day visit to Pakistan and co-chaired the seventh meeting of the Pak-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
A joint declaration was issued at the end of the meeting and 24 important agreements were signed.
The Turkish President addressed the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum, which was attended by leading investors, companies and businessmen from both sides. During the visit, he stressed the need to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in various fields and highlighted the importance of further improving economic, cultural and defense relations between the two countries. President Erdogan expressed his deep friendship with the people of Pakistan during the visit. According to the joint statement of the seventh meeting of the Turkey-Pakistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, various MoUs were signed between the two countries, including defense, electricity, energy, mining, trade, water, education, banking, health, legal affairs, media, aerospace, culture, business, a memorandum of understanding between the Export Credit Bank of Turkey and the Export-Import Bank of Pakistan, a memorandum of understanding in the field of technical cooperation between the Central Bank of Turkey and the State Bank of Pakistan, digitization of certificates of origin used in trade, and the exchange of military and civilian personnel for social and cultural purposes. The Pakistan-Turkey Business Forum also signed two MoUs aimed at promoting bilateral business relations. Tayyip Erdogan highlighted the potential for expanding the existing trade agreement between the two countries and encouraged Turkish investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan, especially in flagship projects. He praised Pakistan’s sacrifices in the fight against terrorism and reiterated Turkey’s unwavering support for Pakistan on international issues, including the Kashmir dispute. He reiterated Turkey’s solidarity with the Kashmiris and called for resolving disputes through dialogue in accordance with UN resolutions, and expressed his determination that relations between Pakistan and Turkey are built on historical, cultural and religious foundations.
To further strengthen these relations, the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was established. It is an important platform for promoting cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Its aim is to promote cooperation between the two countries in various fields, further strengthen political, economic, defense, trade and cultural ties.

After the meetings, the Prime Minister met the Turkish President and his delegation. President Erdogan’s visit was not only a step towards further strengthening the relations between Pakistan and Turkey. This visit could mark the beginning of a new era of contacts between the people of the two countries and further strengthening of these relations can be expected in the future.
