Lahore (TNS) Lahore Qalandars became champions for the third time by defeating Quetta Gladiators by 6 wickets in the final of the tenth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In the final of PSL 10 played at Gaddafi Stadium, the Pakistan Navy was paid tribute to for proving its superiority in protecting Pakistani waters and maritime defense in Operation Banyan Marsus. Renowned singers warmed the hearts of the audience with national songs. Singer Abrar Ahmed received a lot of applause from the audience with his famous songs, while singers Rizwan Mirza, Hussain Ali Paracha and Nadeem Abbas Lonewala paid tribute to the Pakistani armed forces by singing national songs. In the final match of PSL 10, Quetta Gladiators, batting first, scored 201 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs thanks to the aggressive batting of Hassan Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf. Lahore Qalandars achieved the target with the loss of 4 wickets with one ball to spare thanks to the aggressive innings of Mohammad Naeem and Kushal Perera, Kushal Perera was unbeaten on 62 runs. Quetta Gladiators won the toss and decided to bat first against Lahore Qalandars, but the opening pair could not provide a good start. Captain Saud Shakeel was dismissed for 4 runs, Finn Allen for 12 runs, while Riley Rossouw could not stay at the wicket for long. He was dismissed for 22 runs, while Awesha Fernando could also only score 29 runs. However, Hassan Nawaz remained firm on the wicket and completed his half-century, he was dismissed for 76 runs off 43 balls, which included 4 sixes and 8 fours. Dinesh Chandimal played an aggressive innings of 22 runs off 13 balls while Faheem Ashraf turned the tables on the match in the last over, he hit Salman Mirza for 23 runs with 3 sixes and a four in the last over, he was dismissed for 28 runs off 8 balls. For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 3 wickets, Salman Mirza and Haris Rauf took 2 wickets each, while Sikandar Raza and Rashad Hussain took one wicket each. For Lahore Qalandars, Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Naeem gave the team an aggressive start, however Fakhar Zaman was dismissed after scoring only 11 runs. However, Mohammad Naeem showed aggressive batting and was dismissed for 47 runs off 27 balls, which included 6 sixes and only one four. For Lahore Qalandars, Abdullah Shafiq also played an innings of 41 runs off 28 balls, which included 4 fours and a six, while Rajapaksa was a guest of only 14 runs. Kusal Perera remained unbeaten on 62 runs off 31 balls, his innings included 4 sixes and 5 fours, while Sikandar Raza played an unbeaten innings of 22 runs off 7 balls.
