Islamabad (TNS) Former presidential candidate of Pakistan Asghar Ali Mubarak has said that Pakistan should nominate US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his extraordinary efforts for world peace.

The credit for the Pakistan-India ceasefire goes to the US President, especially when the two nuclear states were engaged in war. The US mediation played an important role in the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, which India kept denying. President Trump has openly rejected India’s false narrative and put the truth before the world. Former Pakistani presidential candidate Asghar Ali Mubarak said in the context of the Pakistan-India war that the Pakistani armed forces gave an effective response to India in the war. He said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan are thanking each other for their support. During this war, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran and Tajikistan openly supported Pakistan’s right to defend itself. After the open support from Turkey and Azerbaijan, both of them were in India. A campaign to boycott the products of the countries is also being launched. He praised the Pakistan-India ceasefire and said that the tension had escalated to a dangerous level, but peace was established due to the efforts of US President Donald Trump.

It is important to remember that President Trump had described the Pakistani people as the best and said that the people of Pakistan are the best and they have great leaders. The US President took credit for the Pakistan-India ceasefire and said that the US brought about a ceasefire between Pakistan and India. It should be remembered that in response to the attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22 and the subsequent incursion into Pakistan by India on the night of May 6 and 7, the Pakistan Army gave a befitting reply to the enemy through Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos. On May 10, India fired missiles at three Pakistani air bases, in response to which Pakistan destroyed several military installations including India’s missile defense system. After the escalating tension, a ceasefire was declared between the two countries on the same day at 4:30 pm as a result of US mediation.

It should be noted that the United States is Pakistan’s largest export market, where Pakistan’s annual exports have exceeded $5 billion by 2024, while Pakistan’s imports from the United States are at the level of approximately $2.1 billion.
