ISLAMABAD (TNS) The Kashmir issue has once again firmly established its presence on the global scene. After the Pak-India tension in May 2025, the determination and effective manner in which Pakistan’s political, military and diplomatic leadership highlighted the Kashmir issue has shaken the world.
Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir says that no deal on Kashmir is possible, India should know that Pakistan will never leave Kashmir, no deal on Kashmir is possible, we can never forget Kashmir, India should know that Pakistan will never leave Kashmir. India tried to suppress the Kashmir issue but failed, Kashmir is a global issue, Pakistan will never accept India’s monopoly. These views were expressed by Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), while talking to the participants of “Hilal Talks” at the Army Auditorium, according to ISPR. The aim of Hilal Talks is to serve as a forum for sharing of perspectives among members of the academic community of Pakistan, encompassing interactive sessions, group discussions on various international, regional, national issues. In recognition of the important role of academia in national development through innovation, research, feedback, the forum brought together about 1800 members of the academic community including Vice Chancellors. Heads of departments, senior faculty members, principals, students from institutions across Pakistan participated in the dialogue. Participants from Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and southern districts of GB participated through virtual medium. Addressing the participants, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir encouraged educational institutions to play an active role in promoting the national narrative of harmony, stability, peace and development. Stressing the need for critical thinking and knowledge-driven economies, the COAS said that our educational institutions should function as centers of critical thinking, reasoning and organic innovative solutions for the development of Pakistan. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while interacting with the Vice Chancellors, Principals and senior teachers of various universities, said that teachers are the biggest asset of the country, whatever they are, it is because of parents and teachers. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that terrorists in Balochistan are Fitna-ul-Hindustan, they have no connection with Baloch, terrorism is an internal problem of India, the reason for terrorism in India is oppression and prejudice against minorities. He further said that Pakistan has to be made a strong state in which all institutions work according to the constitution and law, a state where all institutions work for the welfare of the people without any political pressure, financial and personal gain, whoever tries to create a narrative to weaken the state should be rejected. The impression of senior teachers and participants in the question and answer session was that this is a secure land, behind it is a uniform, we are proud of Pakistan and our armed forces and we will continue to stand by them. After the question and answer session, the participants praised the institution of ‘Hilal Talks’ and expressed confidence that such initiatives will play an important role in promoting the exchange of ideas, opening avenues for research and innovation and gradually strengthening national harmony through continuous dialogue. The forum concluded with a common resolve to work together for a more secure and prosperous Pakistan. Recall that the DG ISPR made it clear in a joint press conference of representatives of the three armed forces that the root of the current conflict is the Kashmir issue and that unless this issue is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the resolutions of the United Nations, lasting peace in South Asia is not possible. India’s attempts to change the status of Kashmir are a clear violation of international laws and commitments. The most important aspect of this tension was that the Kashmir issue once again became the center of global attention. The offer of mediation by US President Donald Trump is proof that the international community is now viewing this issue as an international dispute instead of considering it an internal matter of India. Due to Pakistan’s vigorous diplomatic efforts, not only the international media covered this dispute, but human rights organizations also exposed the abuses committed in occupied Kashmir. Thus, global pressure increased for India to come to a solution to this long-standing issue. Former Chief Minister of occupied Kashmir Omar Abdullah has also acknowledged this change. In an interview, he admitted that Pakistan has succeeded in raising the Kashmir issue at the international level and today world powers are taking a serious interest in this dispute. His statement not only negates the Indian narrative but is also proof that the Kashmir issue is not just a regional dispute but a global issue, the solution of which has become inevitable according to the opinion of the Kashmiri people. It is also worth noting that although a ceasefire has been signed between the two countries, the Kashmir issue still needs to be resolved. India’s attempts to change the status of Kashmir are a clear violation of international laws and commitments. The most important aspect of this tension was that the Kashmir issue once again became the center of global attention.

US President Donald Trump’s offer of mediation is proof that the international community is now viewing this issue as an international dispute rather than considering it an internal matter of India.

Due to Pakistan’s vigorous diplomatic efforts, not only the international media covered this dispute but also human rights organizations exposed the abuses committed in occupied Kashmir. Thus, the global pressure increased that India had to come to a solution to this long-standing issue.
On the other hand, the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that we are peace-loving people and peace is our first choice, but if India commits a foolish act again, our response will be more severe than before. Two and a half thousand students from different universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met the DG ISPR in which General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India had thought that we would attack and Pakistan would not respond, you saw how you all stood behind your country, the whole of Pakistan stood, by the grace of God this iron wall became. All the strategies that India and Modi had made, we proved them wrong. This nation and army have always been like a fist and will remain united like that. People used to think that the people and the army here are far from each other, not at all.
General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry is absolutely right in saying that India is behind all the terrorism in this region and Pakistan. He further said that those who martyr mosques and slaughter people have no connection with Islam, they have no connection with the traditions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pakhtuns, these terrorists are followers of India. Khazri Noor Wali says that Sharia allows you to take help from an infidel, infidelity and truth cannot coexist in Islam, you are asking for help from India which violates the honor of Kashmiri girls.
DG ISPR said that he only asks his Afghan brothers that please give space to terrorists in your country or you will become tools of India. I say to the brave and courageous people and tribes of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, today is the time again, Kashmir will become Pakistan. On this occasion, the slogans of Pakistan will always live and Pak Army will live, Kashmir will become Pakistan heated the atmosphere. The government’s efforts to build public and private opinion against India and its sponsored terrorism through delegations abroad and with the help of ISPR inside the country are welcome in every way. Former Chief Minister of Occupied Kashmir Omar Abdullah has also acknowledged this change that Pakistan has succeeded in raising the Kashmir issue at the international level and today world powers are taking a serious interest in this dispute.
