ISLAMABAD (TNS) The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam has thanked the Pakistani hospitality during the visit of Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a high-level delegation to Pakistan.
Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam wrote in his post on the social networking site ‘X’ that ‘I sincerely thank the government and people of the brotherly, friendly and neighboring country of Pakistan, who welcomed the delegation of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran with great warmth and generosity and extended hospitality.’
The Iranian Ambassador said that ‘I especially deeply thank Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, who played a prominent role in providing memorable and historic moments during this important visit.’
The Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam wrote that ‘I also sincerely thank President Asif Ali Zardari, who hosted the Iranian delegation at the Presidential Palace.’

The Iranian ambassador wrote in a message on ‘X’ that ‘I also express my heartfelt gratitude to Field Marshal Asim Munir, whose dignified presence and valuable cooperation played a significant role in the success of this high-level visit.’
The Iranian ambassador said that ‘I also thank the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and his hard-working and professional colleagues in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who played a key role in the high-level management and coordination of this visit.’
The Iranian ambassador also expressed special gratitude to Mian Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who extended warm hospitality to the delegation in the historic and beautiful city of Lahore. Reza Amiri Moghadam also thanked Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Khawaja Asif, Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Muhammad Raza Hayat Haraj and Attaullah Tarar, who made sincere efforts to promote bilateral relations in their respective fields and played an important role in finalizing 12 important memorandums of understanding.

He said that ‘Pakistan and Iran have deep relations based on historical, cultural and strategic foundations, and the two countries have signed several agreements in many fields including trade, infrastructure, culture’.
The Iranian ambassador said that ‘this visit is a new chapter and an important milestone in the long-standing relations between our two brotherly countries, both sides reiterated their commitment to further promote and deepen bilateral cooperation in a wide range of fields’. In view of the firm and clear determination and intention of the top leadership of both countries to increase the bilateral trade volume to $10 billion.
Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam wrote, “I consider it my responsibility, duty, and honor that I, my colleagues at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan, and our counterparts in our beloved homeland, work day and night to make this shared vision a reality.”
