KARACHI (TNS) Karachi A traditional Malakade was organized in Manghopir Town to highlight the cultural heritage in connection with the celebrations of 14th August Muarkah Haq, which was not only notable in terms of public participation but also the presence of political and social figures highlighted the importance of the event. This program was held at the football ground near Garm Chashma, where citizens, elders, youth and children participated in large numbers and enjoyed this cultural game.
Nisar Ahmed Khuhro expressed his happiness at participating in the event and said, “This initiative of celebrating Independence Day celebrations in Manghopir Town by linking it with local culture is very commendable. The efforts being made under the leadership of Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi for public awareness, cultural heritage and welfare of the youth are a matter of pride. Programs like Malakada are not just entertainment but an expression of our identity. The PPP has always encouraged such public and cultural initiatives, and I am very happy to be here today.
That our local leadership, especially practical and sincere representatives like Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, are performing the real duty of serving the people while keeping their traditions alive.”
Deputy Commissioner West Zulfiqar Ali Memon, while expressing his views at the event, said:

Such positive, healthy and peaceful programs not only create a pleasant atmosphere at the local level but also encourage the youth towards useful activities. I was truly happy to see the enthusiasm of the people, the participation of children and elders and the color of local culture in today’s event. The driving force behind this event was the Chairman of Manghopir Town, Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, who personally supervised all the arrangements for the successful organization of this wonderful event. Under the leadership of Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi, cultural and developmental activities are continuously flourishing in Manghopir Town. He has always taken practical steps for the betterment of the people, promoting youth activities, and highlighting the identity of the area. Malakada was a bright manifestation of this vision, which created a positive impression on the public.
The ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner West 2 Zahid Ali Bhatti, Pakistan Peoples Party District West President Abid Hussain Satti, Information Secretary Ali Akbar Kachelo, Peoples Youth Organization (PYO) District West President Akhtar Lund, Vice Chairman Manghopir Town Rana Muhammad Arif, Azam Mengal, Shakoor Mengal, Javed Brohi and Shabbir Brohi, among other distinguished guests.
All the guests emphasized that such healthy, positive and cultural programs not only make the environment of the area pleasant but also attract the young generation towards useful activities.
Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi further said that Malakada is not only a traditional game but also a symbol of our culture, which is our collective responsibility to keep alive.
On this occasion, Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi said while talking to the media:

Today’s Malakada in Manghopir Town is a symbol that we are connected to our tradition and are making the younger generation aware of our identity. At the end of the program, slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “People’s Party Zindabad” echoed in the ground. The participants congratulated Chairman Haji Nawaz Ali Brohi on organizing the successful event and expressed their determination that Manghopir Town will continue to spread light with such events in the future as well
