ISLAMABAD (TNS) The Muslim Ummah should benefit from the opportunities of the Gaza Peace Agreement. Undoubtedly, the UN, OIC and Arab League have failed miserably in preventing the genocide of innocent people. Now is the time for the Muslim Ummah to pay serious attention to the Gaza Peace Agreement, otherwise everyone will have to suffer the consequences like other countries. Those responsible for creating uncertainty about the Gaza Peace Agreement are those leaders who do not like peace, the so-called religious extremists who are enemies of Islam and peace. However, the US President has clearly mentioned the positive response of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal of Pakistan to this agreement. While holding a press conference at the White House, the US President said that the Gaza Peace Agreement is very close, the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Field Marshal have also supported the peace agreement.
I have always written in these lines that in the modern world, the nations of the world should take advantage of the opportunities for peace and Pakistan proved in the war against Indian aggression on May 10, 2025 that there is nothing more powerful than peace. It is worth noting that everyone can see my (Asghar Ali Mubarak) suggestion on Google. As the first person in the world, as a former presidential candidate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, I requested the government of Pakistan and proposed the name of US President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, after which the government of Pakistan proposed the name of President Trump for the Nobel Prize. Here, I once again demand the government of Pakistan to immediately announce the highest civilian award to US President Trump for his peace efforts on behalf of the Pakistani people, the best example of which is the prevention of the Pak-India nuclear war on May 10, which would not have been possible without the intervention of the US President. Trump has become the great leader of the world who has stopped more than seven wars in the world and behind this powerful personality is the power of the US Constitution. There is no doubt that US President Trump is a man obsessed with peace. Even in his old age, he is obsessed with world peace. He never rests, he is always busy with work. This is the reality of the real life of this great man.The United Nations has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for a ceasefire in Gaza. Despite announcing a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Israel bombed and killed 39 more Palestinians. The Israeli army has killed more than 66,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023, the majority of whom are women and children. The continuous bombing has made the area uninhabitable and has resulted in famine and disease. When Qatar and Egypt gave this 20-point plan to Hamas, President Trump gave the group 4 days to accept its implementation, otherwise be prepared for a “very sad end.” On the other hand, Trump said that Israeli and Arab leaders have approved the plan and now they are just waiting for Hamas’s decision. Hamas will either do it or not, and if it does not, its end will be very bad. A senior Hamas leader said that “this plan will probably be rejected, because it is in the interest of Israel and ignores the interests of the Palestinian people. Laying down and disarming is an impossible condition for Hamas.” Palestinians in Gaza say that the plan has raised many questions, especially what the proposed international stabilization force will be like. The plan has been welcomed by several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt, Italy, France and the United Kingdom, as well as the Palestinian Authority.
It should be recalled that US President Trump announced a 20-point plan to end Israel’s war on Gaza at a press conference on Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Under the plan, dozens of Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for the release of all Israeli hostages, Hamas will be completely disarmed, the Israeli army will be gradually withdrawn and a non-political technocratic committee will be established to govern Gaza. The plan mentions the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and a path to statehood, but no guarantees have been given. According to Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, “Trump’s proposed plan achieves an important goal, which is to end the war, but there are some points that need clarification and discussion.” It is hoped that everyone will view this plan constructively and take advantage of the opportunity to end the war. The Qatari Prime Minister said that Doha has not yet received Hamas’s response to this plan. He said, “We are not yet aware of Hamas’s response, because for this, consensus among the Palestinian factions is necessary.” According to the Qatari Prime Minister, Qatar and Egypt had made it clear to Hamas that their main goal is to stop the war. Qatar’s focus is currently on how to end the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza. The first priority is to end the war, famine, massacres and displacement. Arab and Islamic countries have made every effort to ensure that the Palestinians remain on their land and can reach a two-state solution. This stage is important and is part of negotiations that will not produce an immediate agreement in perfect language. It is necessary to move forward with the current process and make it effective and successful. Since October 2023, at least 66,055 people have been martyred and 168,000 have been injured in Israel’s war on Gaza. 346 have been injured, thousands more are feared buried under the rubble, who are presumed dead. The attacks on October 7, 2023 killed 1,139 people in Israel, and nearly 200 were taken hostage. Hamas is considering Trump’s proposal to end the war Hamas’s negotiating team is studying US President Trump’s 20-point plan, which is related to ending Israel’s war on Gaza. The Israeli prime minister said in a joint press briefing with Trump that he had agreed to the plan, as Israeli forces continued to intensify attacks on the Gaza Strip and killed at least 39 Palestinians on Monday. After US President Donald Trump presented a comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza, signs of differences over the draft have become apparent. Eight countries, including Pakistan, have agreed to raise the issue with President Trump in a very active manner. According to the American media ‘Axios’, the current agreement is significantly different from what the US and Arab and Muslim countries had previously agreed on, and this was due to the intervention of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. The main obstacle was the amendments related to the method and timing of the Israeli withdrawal, which Netanyahu included in a 6-hour meeting with White House envoy and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. According to these amendments, Israel’s withdrawal would be conditional on progress in the disarmament of Hamas, and Israel would have the right to veto it. Even if all conditions are met and the three phases of withdrawal are completed, Israeli forces will remain within a ‘security parameter’ until Gaza is deemed safe from the threat of a resurgence of terrorism.Although there was no apparent response, according to Axios, officials in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey were deeply upset behind the scenes. Qatar even tried to convince the US administration not to release the plan, but the White House released the plan anyway and pressured Arab and Muslim countries to support it, resulting in a joint statement by the eight countries welcoming Trump’s announcement but not fully endorsing it. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made it clear in a press conference that the US Gaza peace plan would not be accepted if the amendments jointly proposed by the eight Muslim countries were not included. The US has released the plan document as if Pakistani policymakers are distancing themselves from the plan, even though Trump has previously claimed that both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir are 100 percent supportive of it. He said, “This is not our draft, which we sent to them, there are some important points that we want to include, if they do not include them, they will be included.” Trump’s announcement of the 20-point plan should be considered an “announcement on his behalf.” Pakistan is committed to the joint declaration given by 8 Muslim countries, if there is any difference, we will follow it. The plan presented by Trump talks about establishing an independent technocratic government of the Palestinians, which will be supervised by an international body, which will consist mostly of Palestinians. He was cautious about the possibility of becoming part of the International Stability Force (ISF). There will be Palestinian law enforcement agencies on the ground, there will also be separate forces to support them, Indonesia has offered to provide 20,000 troops for this, I am sure the leadership of Pakistan will also decide on this.
It will be a special force only for Gaza and its deployment will be documented in the UN Security Council. Ishaq Dar explained the diplomatic process that resulted in the peace plan. He said that a major purpose of participating in the UN General Assembly, as a member of the Muslim Ummah, was to try to end the problems of the people of Gaza with some ‘like-minded countries’. Eight countries, including Pakistan, have agreed to raise this issue very actively with President Trump. According to the Foreign Minister, the purpose of the meeting with Trump was to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, stop the forced displacement of Palestinians, arrange for the return of displaced persons, rebuild Gaza, and stop Israel’s attempts to annex the West Bank. These goals were explained to him (Trump), and he was asked to work with us to achieve them. It was then decided that the details of the meetings would remain confidential and classified. The Saudi counterpart sent him a message that the 5 countries had agreed on a joint declaration, and Pakistan’s consent was also necessary, and he had also contacted Indonesia and the UAE. Pakistan suggested some amendments and spoke again with the Saudi Foreign Minister, then a revised draft was sent to me and the joint declaration was issued. The United Nations has welcomed US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for a ceasefire in Gaza. According to the report, a statement issued by the office of Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that it welcomes Donald Trump’s announcement to achieve a ceasefire and lasting peace in Gaza and the region. Appreciating the ‘important role’ of Arab and Muslim countries, the United Nations said that ‘it is now imperative that all parties are committed to an agreement and its implementation. Our priority must be to reduce the severe suffering caused by this war. The Secretary-General once again called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, He called for the unhindered provision of humanitarian aid, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, and expressed hope that this would create conditions conducive to achieving a two-state solution. It should be noted that on September 29, US President Donald Trump, while presenting the proposed Gaza ceasefire plan, said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was “very close” to agreeing on an agreement to end the Gaza conflict. Addressing a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, Trump said that this is a “very big” day. We have come very close to a Gaza peace agreement. He said that his goal is not only peace in the Gaza Strip, but also peace in the entire Middle East. If Hamas accepts it, the proposal calls for the immediate release of all remaining hostages, but in no case should it take more than 72 hours. Under the plan, Arab and Muslim countries promise to rapidly disarm Gaza, dismantle the military capabilities of Hamas and all other organizations, dismantle tunnels and weapons manufacturing facilities as part of the deal, and train a local police force in the Gaza Strip. Working with the new interim authority in Gaza, all parties will agree on a timeline for a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces. If Hamas rejects the deal, which is possible and I have a feeling we will get a positive response, but if not, then Netanyahu will have full support to do whatever he wants.
