KARACHI (TNS) KARACHI Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) has proudly inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), further strengthening its cardiac care facilities for patients in Karachi and beyond.
The inauguration was graced by Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, who lauded KIHD’s role in providing world-class cardiac treatment to the people of Karachi.
Equipped with the latest technologies including High Resolution 3D Imaging, Fluoroscopy, Real-Time Data Monitoring, and Low Radiation Features, the new Cath Lab will make angiography and angioplasty safer, faster, and more effective, particularly in complex cases.
KIHD’s Executive Director, Prof. Riffat Sultana, stated; We are deeply grateful to Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab for his support in making this project a reality. This new Cath Lab will allow us to treat patients according to international standards, reducing the need for patients to seek treatment abroad.
Hospital management added that the advanced technology will reduce strain on patients while providing doctors with more accurate and timely assistance.
This milestone reflects KIHD’s mission of delivering accessible, affordable, and high-quality cardiac care to thousands of patients, bringing a life-saving difference to the community.
