RAWALPINDI (TNS): The Pakistan Army’s team has won the prestigious Gold Medal at the internationally acclaimed Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025, held in Wales, United Kingdom, from October 3 to 13, 2025.
According to ISPR,the globally renowned military competition — now in its 66th year — is considered one of the toughest tests of military excellence, endurance, and professionalism in the world. This year’s event featured 137 teams representing 36 countries, all competing under challenging and hostile terrain conditions.
Teams were required to navigate 60 kilometers within 48 hours, while performing specialist tactical and operational tasks designed to assess leadership, teamwork, and combat readiness in a contested environment.
The Pakistan Army team, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, displayed outstanding skill, discipline, and tactical brilliance, earning the coveted Gold Medal among dozens of elite international contingents.
The achievement stands as yet another testament to the Pakistan Army’s professionalism, superior training standards, and unwavering commitment to excellence in military operations.
“Winning the Gold Medal at Cambrian Patrol is a matter of immense pride for the nation,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated, adding that the Pakistan Army continues to uphold the country’s flag high in all international military forums and will persist in its pursuit of operational excellence.
The Cambrian Patrol, often referred to as the “Olympics of Military Patrolling,” is organized annually by the British Army and is recognized worldwide as a benchmark for military skill, physical endurance, and tactical expertise.
