Islamabad/The increasing crimes within the limits of Khanna Circle, including seizure groups, property mafia, fake currency, gambling, money on interest, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and targeted crimes, drug trafficking, and prostitution dens in residential plazas have forced residents to relocate. The business of selling alcohol including ice, hashish and heroin is being openly done on mobile numbers. Criminal elements are engaged in the business of selling all kinds of weapons. Illegal Afghans residing in Khanna Circle are involved in theft and robbery. Residents of the area are scared while passing through deserted roads. Due to incidents of robbery by showing weapons to motorcyclists, citizens have also become cautious about shopping. Petrol pump owners, medical stores, and other traders are protesting against the incidents of robbery. Due to criminals and dangerous fugitives, citizens are deprived of valuable items including cash, mobile phones, and watches in theft and robbery incidents within the limits of Khanna Circle. It is reported that due to the increasing number of targeted incidents and kidnapping for ransom incidents, big businessmen in the area are forced to hire personal guards. Educational institutions, offices and banks have made personal security arrangements. Residents, traders and citizens from other circles, including residents, have expressed concerns over the increasing incidents and have asked the IG Islamabad to eliminate them and fight drug trafficking in the area, saying that a grand operation is needed to maintain law and order in Khanna Circle.
