KARACHI (TNS) Karachi World Scout Day was observed globally on 22 February 2026, marking the birth anniversary of Robert Baden Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement. The day is recognized as a reaffirmation of the values of service, discipline, and leadership.

Founded in 1907, the Scout Movement has evolved into a global network represented by the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Across countries, scouting organizations continue to focus on youth development, character building, and community service.
On this occasion, ceremonies including flag hoisting and renewal of scout pledges were held in various cities.

Activities such as tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, blood donation initiatives, and welfare programs highlighted the commitment of young volunteers toward social responsibility.
Observers note that scouting promotes confidence, responsibility, and mutual respect among youth. Young people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds unite under a shared purpose, reflecting the spirit of global brotherhood.

The day concluded with a renewed pledge to strengthen positive leadership and community service through the ongoing efforts of the Scout Movement.
