Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is actively engaged around the clock to ensure foolproof security arrangements in the federal capital during the holy month of Ramadan.In this regard, he chaired a high-level meeting at Safe City Islamabad, which was attended by DIG Security Muhammad Atique Tahir along with other senior police officers. The meeting reviewed in detail the comprehensive security, surveillance, and rapid response plan for Ramadan across Islamabad.During the meeting, discussions focused on the effective utilization of Safe City cameras, real-time monitoring through the control room, enhanced surveillance of high-risk locations, and ensuring immediate response in case of any emergency. The IGP Islamabad issued special directives to all officers to ensure continuous monitoring of masjids, imambargahs, commercial centers, and marketplaces, and swift action against any suspicious activity.He emphasized that the modern surveillance system of Safe City would play a pivotal role in maintaining security during Ramadan. He further directed all concerned officers to perform their duties with professionalism and coordination so that citizens may offer their prayers in a peaceful environment.Later, the IGP Islamabad visited the Ramazan Sasta Bazaar in G-11, where he reviewed the security and traffic arrangements. He instructed officers to further strengthen monitoring of entry and exit points, maintain a visible police presence, and prioritize public convenience.On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad reiterated that all available resources would be utilized to maintain law and order in the capital during Ramadan, adding that the protection of citizens lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
