Islamabad (TNS) Police enhances passenger monitoring through Travel-Eye software،According to the details, the DG Safe City / DIG Traffic, Muhammad Haroon Joya held an important meeting to discuss enhancing security and monitoring at bus terminals. The meeting was attended by Deputy Director OFC Wasif Sarwar, technical team members, and managers of various bus terminals. A detailed discussion was held on further improving security and surveillance systems at bus terminals.DG Safe City instructed the technical team to ensure the installation of advanced facial recognition cameras at bus terminals to tighten the net around criminal elements. Terminal managers were directed to maintain complete records of passenger arrivals and departures in the Travel Eye software of Islamabad Police. Emphasis was also placed on immediately reporting suspicious movements to the relevant police authorities and processing passenger data through geotagging steps to ensure effective monitoring.
During the meeting, measures for not only effective monitoring of passenger movements but also strict surveillance of vehicles entering the federal capital Islamabad were discussed. DG Safe City/ DIG Traffic stated that all entry and exit points of the city, the Red Zone, major public areas, bus terminals, and markets are being monitored through Safe City’s advanced cameras. Special check posts have also been established to ensure efficient monitoring.He added that modern drones are being used for aerial surveillance of the city. Vehicles and motorcycles without number plates are being identified using Safe City cameras, and violators are being issued E-challans.DG Safe City further stated that Islamabad Police is making full use of modern technology to maintain law and order and protect citizens lives and property. The Travel Eye software is proving invaluable not only for registering data of individuals arriving from outside the city but also for identifying elements involved in serious criminal activities.
