Islamabad (TNS) Over 1000 individuals checked during citywide search operations in capital
Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital to curb crime and crackdown on criminal elements.
The grand search and combing operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs.During the search operations, a total of 1005 individuals, 512 households, 44 shops, 72 hotels, 372 motorcycles, and 135 vehicles were checked.Additionally, 57 suspicious individuals, 37 motorcycles and one vehicle were shifted to the police station for further verification. Moreover, two accused were also arrested and recovered two daggers from their possession. SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the objective of these search operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and further enhance security across the city.Such operations are being conducted in different areas throughout the district. Islamabad Police continues indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
