Bank Manager shot dead during robbery

KARACHI Aug  08 (TNS): The branch manager of a private bank was shot dead by robbers on Tuesday on Tariq Road locality. Robbers used a red car for their escape.Jamshed Town SP Dr Rizwan said that Abdul Rahim Motiwala was shot in the head twice after he tried to stop the four robbers as they left the branch after looting nearly Rs0.65 million rupees in cash,. Security guards Muhammad Hanif and Ghulam Rasool were taken into custody by law enforcement agencies for further questioning. Rangers cordoned off the area soon after the incident.Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Khan Siyal took notice of the incident and asked the Karachi additional IG to submit a report of the incident within 24 hours. “Additional IG and DIG must immediately arrest the robbers,” Siyal said in a statement.

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khawaja also took notice of the incident and ordered the DIG to submit a report. “The robbers must be arrested at all costs,” IGP Khawaja directed the DIG.
