Islamabad, August 8 (TNS): Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Tuesday demanded that former premier Nawaz Sharif must be tried under article 6 of the constitution.
“Article 6 of the Constitution should be applied on former prime minister for thrashing the Panama case judgment by the apex Court”, said Khan while addressing media here after the party’s central executive committee meeting.
Referring to GT-Road roadshow planned by PML-N, PTI chief asked what message is Nawaz Sharif trying to give to the country by taking out rallies despite the top court ruling which disqualified ex-premier.
“Ruling party is trying to scare NAB which is set to open references against them, if they think they can escape from the watchdog, by pressurizing national institutes, they are wrong,” said Khan.
PTI chief added that the whole PML-N was busy to try to save Sharif family instead of parting ways with the mafia party.
Imran Khan suggested that PML-N should have parted ways with one family after the Panama case ruling and should have elected a new party president.
