Lahore, August 17 (TNS): A big blow to opposition parties as the Returning Officer (RO) in Lahore has accepted nomination papers of Kulsoom Nawaz PML-N candidate for by-election in NA-120.
Opposition parties including PTI, PPP and PAT have risen objection over her nomination however the Returning Officer rejecting all objection accepted nomination papers of former First Lady.
Later, talking to newsmen, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Dr. Asif Kirmani said all nine objections raised on the candidature of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz were rejected by the Returning Officer.
He said the Returning Officer gave full opportunity to the opponents to present their objections, but they could not present any proof in favor of their baseless objections.
Earlier, amidst, scrutiny of nomination papers for NA-120 Kulsoom Nawaz PML-N candidate for the seat, has left for London on a personal tour.
