Islamabad, August 19 (TNS): Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahidullah Khan says the democratic system in the country is passing through its transitional period, a clear reference to former Prime Minister’s disqualification by the top court.
In interview to state-run broadcaster, the minister said Nawaz Sharif had given sacrifices for democracy and always respected and trusted the national institutions.
He said despite reservations on the disqualification decision of Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz accepted it for supremacy of law.
Mushahidullah Khan said difference of opinion is the beauty of a democratic system and every big political party has different viewpoints on many matters.
