Lahore, August 20 (TNS): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) summoned Sharif family to appear before the watchdog here on Sunday; however no one from the ruling family tended to do so.

NAB has summoned ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and his son-in-law Captain Safda in line with the Supreme Court’s directives to question them related to the ownership of Avenfield flats in London.

The six-member team of National Accountability Bureau Lahore will wait for the Sharif family members to question them over the London properties till Sunday afternoon.

According to sources, the team headed by NAB Lahore Director General Shehzad Saleem will wait for Hassan, Hussain Nawaz, Maryam Safdar and Captain (retd) Safdar till 2pm.

The request came two days after the ousted premier and his two sons refused to appear before NAB Rawalpindi, which has been ordered by the top court to file references against them.

Sources say most of the members of Sharif family are abroad including Nawaz’s sons and wife.

Former Premier Nawaz Sharif also likely to leave for London for medical checkup very soon, sources added.
