Islamabad, August 22 (TNS): Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, has been diagnosed with throat cancer, local media quoting sources reported on Tuesday.
PML-N’s candidate for NA-120 by-polls was diagnosed with the disease in UK, where she went for medical tests last week.
Doctors in London, however, said the type of cancer Kulsoom is suffering from is treatable, saying she will undergo treatment soon for a speedy recovery, sources added.
Due to sickness and treatment, Kulsoom will not be able to take part of the campaign to contest elections in NA-120 constituency, sources further said.
