LAHORE, Aug 24 (TNS): After hearing the petitioner seeking to withhold the results of the entry test required for admission in medical colleges, as the papers were leaked a day before the test was scheduled to be held, the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday issued order to do so.

Justice Shahid Waheed of LHC issued the order. The court also directed Punjab government and University of Health Sciences to submit their replies by August 27.

It may be mentioned here that a large number of students were affected by the leaking of the test papers a day before the test and their parents had staged a protest demonstration outside the Lahore Press Club.

Taking notice of the protest Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had formed an inquiry committee to probe the matter and submit its report to him within 72 hours.

The affected students and their parents had pleaded Chief Minister Punjab, Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, and Chairman Higher Education Commission to take stern action against those responsible for the leaking of the test papers and award them the strictest punishment.
