LAHORE Aug 24 (TNS): In continuation of his drive to pull down all illegal structures in the city, the Town Planning Wing of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday demolished four illegal industrial buildings on Defense Road and Hadiara Drain area.
According to details given by the Lahore Development Authority official, an illegal building was demolished in Moza Bhoptian adjacent to Lahore University. A roof of under-construction industrial hall was also demolished. The pillars, boundary walls and roof of other two industrial buildings were also demolished in Fruit and Vegetable Market.
The LDA launched a campaign some time ago to pull down all illegal structures in the city. Many of these buildings were creating trouble for the commuters and motorists who had to suffer daily from heavy traffic jams in various parts of the city.
