Sethi announces 14 Int. players to visit Pakistan

LAHORE, August 24 (TNS): Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi on Thursday announced names of 14 international players from seven cricketing nations would be participating in a three-match Twenty20 series against Pakistan starting from next month.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Najam Sethi said that South African Test captain Faf du Plessis will lead the World XI against Pakistan.

He said that players from South Africa, Australia, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, England and New Zealand will feature in the World XI.

Former England coach Andy Flower has been assigned the coaching job.

The squad also includes Hashim Amla, Ben Cutting, Samuel Badree, George Bailey, Paul Collingwood, Grant Elliott, Tamim Iqbal, David Miller and Morne Morkel .

In addition, Tim Paine, Thisara Perera and Imran Tahir will be also part of the touring side.

To a question, Najam Sethi said that the next target for PCB was to organize international matches in Karachi.
