LAHORE, Aug 26 ( TNS): The Punjab Food Authority confiscated hundreds of thousands of rotten eggs, thousands of kilograms powder prepared from rotten eggs and sealed a factory here on Saturday.
Headed by Director General (DG) PFA, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, the PFA team raided a factory involved in business of rotten eggs and powder prepared from them in the provincial capital Lahore.
During operation, the PFA confiscated 700,000 rotten eggs and 8000 kilogram powder prepared from rotten eggs which was supplied to confectioneries in the city.
The PFA disposed of the rotten eggs; powder prepared from them, sealed the factory and after registering a case against the owner and employees of factory started the investigation.
