LAHORE, Aug 26 (TNS): Maryam Nawaz has formally launched the election campaign of NA-120 by-poll that is being contested by her mother Kulsoom Nawaz, and is chairing the sessions to devise strategy.
According to details, Maryam had a meeting with municipal representatives of PP-140 on Saturday (today), and will meet PP-139 delegate on Sunday.
On the other hand, ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting at Jati Umra with National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique and other party members to deliberate upon the by-election.
The NA-120 seat was evacuated when the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan disqualified Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case.
