NAB obtains 20 years tax data of Sharif family

Islamabad, August 28 (TNS): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been provided 20 years’ old tax return data of ex-premier Nawaz Sharif, his sons, daughter, son-in-law and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

NAB also obtained the details of bank accounts of the Sharif family from the State Bank of Pakistan and their other records from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.

NAB to formally open references against the Sharif family after obtaining required documents and records.

Sharif, his children and Dar have already filed review petitions against the July 28 verdict of the apex court in the Panamagate case. The Sharif family’s legal is said to have also briefed the deposed premier on these petitions.

In wake of references, Sharif family members have decided to approach the top court for protective bails.

The top court had toppled Nawaz Sharif and directed the NAB to file references against him and his family members.
