Decorated sacrificial animals attracting buyers on Eid

ISLAMABAD, Aug 30 (TNS): With Eid-ul-Adha right around the corner, sacrificial animals are decorated with bright, attractive and sharp colored jewellery attracting buyers.

A report aired by a private news channel said, at every cattle markets and roads vendors can be seen selling animals accessories.

According to dealers, people show keen interest in buying decorative items these days, which gives them good business.

“Both young and children come here to buy decorative items to decorate their animals.” Another vendor said: “People from all walks life buy decoration items.”

Likewise, a man Yasir Kahn dealing in decoration items said: “Children take out the decorated animals to road and feel happy.” Another buyer Saud Javed said: “We decorate our sacrificial animals every year.”

“We and our children like to buy garlands for our sacrificial animals because decorative items add to their beauty,” another buyer maintained.

Hamid Ali who sells animal decoration ornaments, said that he had been in this business for the last few years and he believed that prices of these articles should be fair. “People usually buy these decorative items after purchasing an animal,” he added.

Eid-ul-Azha brings good business for ‘Butchers’

With only two days left for Eid, Eid-ul-Azha brings good business for butchers for slaughtering sacrificial animals on annual basis as they have taken full advantage to earn maximum money on the holy occasion.

Countless muslims perform sacrifice on every Eidul Adha by slaughtering animals to revive the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (Alaih Salam).

Many people across the country in search of butchers on the upcoming three days of Eid occasion despite paying advance to their butchers who remained switched off their mobiles.

According to citizens that hiring butcher was one of the big task and this time many seasonal butchers took the advantage of high demand and despite getting advance remain absent and cheated their customers.

Muhammad Amir, a butcher said there are many seasonal butchers who become active on Eidul Azha and this time they have cheated many people and disappeared despite of getting advance money from customers.

He said customers are also responsible for this as they spent huge amount in buying sacrificial animals but they always try to hire butcher at low rates.

Another butcher Hamid Khan said “days of Eid-ul-Azha bring unusual income for us as we get sufficient business as compared to other days of the year.”

“Finding a butcher during the Eid days is a difficult task and for this reason, many people prefer to sacrifice animals themselves to avoid inconvenience,” he added.
