ISLAMABAD, Aug 30 (TNS): Awami Muslim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Wednesday said India was using US to weaken Pakistan internally as it could not dare to wage a full-fledged war against the nuclear capable Pakistan.
Initiating a debate on President Donald Trump’s statement regarding US policy in Afghanistan, he said India has decided to weaken Pakistan internally using US. India is threatening Pakistan on behalf of India.
The National Assembly started the debate on the US President’s statement after Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid moved a motion under Rule 259 to discuss the issue thoroughly.
He said India was not so stupid to wage a full-fledged war against Pakistan, but continue to commit ceasefire violations at the Line of Control under an international conspiracy to disturb Pakistan.
“India knows very well that it cannot succeed in war against Pakistan rather will get a befitting response,” he added.
Sheikh Rashid underlined the need for exhibiting greater national unity to thwart nefarious designs against Pakistan, requesting Speaker Ayaz Sadiq to hold an in-camera meeting of the opposition parties in this regard.
He said Pakistan was a peace-loving country and it had nothing to do with terrorism, but Indian media was on the forefront and making efforts to malign Pakistan among comity of the nations.
