Rahim Yar Khan, August 30 (TNS): Director Emergency of Shaikh-Zaid Hospital Rahim Yar Khan has made a journalist and his cameraman hostage for several minutes.
According to details, news reporter Arsalan Shaukat and cameraman Ali Mirza of a private news channel visited hospital for coverage of a minor girl who had allegedly been tortured.
Director Emergency ordered 15 hospital security guards to lock media persons in a room for entering into hospital and making video report without permission.
The hospital administration also snatched their equipment.
The media team of ‘News-7’ was remained hostage for more than 20 minutes and were released after signing a pardon letter and getting their signatures on a blank paper.
The media team told TNS that Director Emergency threatened them not to publish video otherwise they will face consequences.
