Chief Commissioner ICT sets new heights of nepotism

Islamabad, Sept 06 (TNS): Setting new heights of nepotism, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Zulfiqar Haider, appointed his blue-eyed officers including three women on several key positions in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration.

Due to this move of Chief Commissioner, who abused his powers, the other officers in ICT were feeling frustrated while employing his preferred officials on several positions caused loss of billions of rupees to the national exchequer.

According to sources, Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider has appointed four officers, who belong to his lobby, on several positions.

District administration officer Mohammad Ali has been appointed on the additional positions of Director Labor, Director Sports and District Registrar Cooperative Societies.

Similarly, female PS to Chief Commissioner Lubna Ghayas has been appointed Director Fisheries and Commissioner Employees Welfare.

Another female officer, Rabia Aurangzeb, has been designated Director Finance, Director Development and Director of Industry, while third lady officer Maryam Mumtaz has been rewarded charge of Director Excise and Deputy Registrar Cooperative Housing Societies.

 

There are serious allegations of corruption on all three women officers.

Director Fisheries Lubna Ghiyas was named in recent incident of mass dead fishes in Rawal Dam, but the Chief Commissioner allegedly rescued her.

Rabia Aurangzeb is charged with the alleged misconduct of revenue during her tenure as Deputy Commissioner, while Maryam Mumtaz is accused of selling land to District Administration for housing society which she had purchased on her husband’s name with much cheaper price.

During anti-polio vaccination campaign, husband of Director Excise Maryam Mumtaz misbehaved with polio team and AC City Cap(R) Syed Ali Asghar for not to vaccinate his child after wards Maryam Mumtaz through telephonic call threatened AC City for extreme results.

Maryam Mumtaz with her personal resources approaches Chief Commissioner ICT Zulfiqar Haider who insulted and punished him.

Chief Commissioner’s nepotism and abusing power created gulf and differences between top officials in ICT including Deputy Commissioner.
