Islamabad, Sept 06 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi called for adopting a proactive approach to project positive image of the country by countering negative propaganda internationally, state-run media reported on Wednesday.
He stated this while chairing a briefing given to him by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on the working of her ministry in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister directed the Information Ministry to adopt innovative and modern approach towards generation and dissemination of information.
Talking to a delegation of PML-N members of the National Assembly from Faisalabad division, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi emphasized that every effort should be made
for expeditious completion of the ongoing development schemes.
He directed that elected representatives should reach out to the people of their constituencies and play their role more effectively to resolve local issues and challenges.
The MNAs briefed the prime minister on development projects and public welfare schemes of their respective constituencies.
