Yangon, Sept. 10 (TNS): Amid Rohingya crisis, Pakistan anchors went missing in Myanmar, local media reported on Sunday.
Anchorperson Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s television channel expressed fears that he was stopped at the Yangon airport by immigration authorities put him under detention.
The channel ‘BOL’ authorities said that the anchorperson had been sent to Myanmar to cover the plight of Rohingya Muslims there.
“[At the airport in Yangon] he was asked about the purpose of his visit and Aamir Liaquat spoke the truth. Since then we have had no contact with him,” channel officials said.
Sources said that another anchor of ‘ARY’ Iqar-ul-Hassan also reported to be disappeared and missing in Myanmar since many days.
