Islamabad, Sept 11 (TNS): Amid corruption charges worth millions of rupees, Tauqeer Ahmed, a BS-11 official, has been closed to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) HQs till finalization of inquiry.h
According to notification issued by the Office of the Director General FIA, Tauqeer Ahmed Inspector/Custom (BS-11) FIA CCC Islamabad zone is closed to FIA HQs Islamabad.
Sources told TNS, that Tauqeer Ahmed had been transferred to FIA from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) illegally as FBR did not issue any notification of his transfer.
According to sources, Tauqeer was involved in corruption worth millions of rupees as assets are far beyond of his income.
Sources told TNS that in OGDCL Tauqeer, with help of top officials, closed several inquiries against heavy kickbacks.
Recently Tauqeer Ahmed demanded bribe worth millions ruppees from a property agent Jabbar.
The Inspector is facing inquiry and has been closed to FIA HQs till probe is finalized.
Another official Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, who has good repute but fell prey to Tauqeer Ahmed’s trap, also asked to close to FIA HQs.
