Karachi, Sept 12 (TNS): At least two policemen were injured as police came once again under attack in Karachi.
According to officials, the incident occurred at Rizvia Society when an unknown gunman opened fire on a police mobile during a security check.
Police constables Sirajuddin and Zeeshan Safdar sustained injuries in latest ambush, says police statement.
The injured policemen were shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja directed a senior superintendent of police to ensure the provision of the best possible medical care to the injured officers, the statement said.
The IGP also ordered police to initiate an investigation into the matter.
