2 dead, 3 missing after powerful typhoon hits japan

TOKYO Sept 18 (TNS):  In Japan, a powerful typhoon ripped through four islands leaving two people dead and three others missing.

Japan Meteorological Agency said, Typhoon Talim hit Japan’s main islands, packing winds of up to one hundred sixty-two kilometers per hour.

Reports say thirty-eight people were injured in storm related incidents while one hundred sixteen flights were cancelled due to the strong wind today.

The storm is moving northeast with dumping torrential rain and paralysing domestic transportation.
