PESHAWAR, Sept 18 (TNS): Afghan nationals among 40 suspects were arrested and arms recovered during search operations here on Monday.
The police launched search operations against the outlaws in Agha Mir Jani, Matni and surrounding areas of the provincial capital Peshawar.
The police searched 270 houses during the operations and detained 37 suspects including three illegal Afghan immigrants. Three pistols and dozens of rounds were also recovered.
The detainees were being interrogated at concerned police stations.
