New York, Sept 19 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has arrived New York to represent Pakistan at the session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Pakistan envoy Maliha Lodhi and other senior officials welcomed Abbasi and his delegation at New York airport.
On the sidelines of the General Assembly, the PM will hold bilateral meetings with a number of world leaders and the secretary general of the UN.
PM Abbasi will address the Council on Foreign Relations and will interact with the US Pakistan Business Council. He will also have extensive interaction with the international media.
The theme of this year’s session is ‘Focusing on people; Striving for peace and a decent life for all on a Sustainable Planet.
