Karachi, September 20 (TNS): Sindh Health Minister Dr.Sikandar Mendhro has said that the Government of Sindh is taking concrete step by launching of modern and fully equipped ambulance service “Sindh Peoples Ambulance Service –SPAS” to save the precious lives of poor patients .
This he said while addressing gathering at press Club in connection with the operation of SPA Service in Thatta & Sujawel districts with 1036 toll free number with the support of Aman Foundation.
He said that this ambulance service with 25 ambulances are providing emergency services to the poor and needy patients in Thatta and Sujawel area people since march 2017. The service was inaugurated by Bilawel Bhutto Zardari at CM House in March 2017.
It would be extended throughout the Sindh, after 2 district of Thatta and Sujawel, it would starts its operation in Badin and Tando Muhmmad Kkhan very soon at same radio frequency and Tharparkar respectively. He furthers aid that within 3 years it would be with 250 fleet in Sindh and will provide emergency facilities to the people.
The ambulance is full of machinery and equipment to facilitate the needy patients at large , media will play a vital role in this regard to highlight the project service to aware the maximum numbers in Sindh to get facilities and benefits from the service.
On The occasion, Sindh Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah also speaking the gathering has said that Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah under the vision of Bilawel Bhutto Zardari, taken a concrete measures for the betterment of people at every level, Health and education Sector is giving special attention and focused to improve the living conditions of people by launching of public oriented projects and initiatives like “Sindh Peoples Ambulance Service”.
He said that many other development programs have been initiated in various fields and sectors and Government of sindh is doing a lot in this regard. He said that besidfes Sindh province the service would be led to Ghotki and Sukuur are where the people would get benefits. Millions of people are getting the facilities of the service yet in 2 districts Thatt and Sujawel. Media should play its role in highlighting the Government efforts and initiatuives to aware the common men at large.
CEO Aman Foundation Malik Ahmed Jalal briefed the participants about the salient features of the “Sindh Peoples Ambulance Service” and its operation in Thatta and Sujawel districts with 25 ambulances. It provides 9400 patients to the bug hospitals in Karachi through the service. He informed that 250 local people were recruited after training of basic health care system.
Documentary was also witnessed by the audience. Secretary Health Dr Fazalullah Pacheeo, Secretary Information Imran Atta Soomro and Others attended the event.
