Illegal appointment case: High court orders MAG to submit reply till Oct. 12

Rawalpindi, Sept 21 (TNS):  High court has asked Military Accountant General (MAG) to submit report and parawise comments in case of illegal appointment.

According to details, single bench of Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench heard the case and ordered concerned authorities to submit written report and parawise comments till October 12, 2017 asking how Fahad Suliman, Assistant (grade-14) official was promoted to Assistant Accountants Officer (grade 17) by the Military Accountant General and later promoted as Section Officer (grade 18) in the Ministry of Defense.

His illegal deployment was challenged in the court by Sardar Naseer Ahmed Sagher Advocate High Court in Rawalpindi.

In writ petition, the petitioner asks Fahad Suleman to show and explain that under what authority of law he is holding the post of Section Officer (BPS-17) in Ministry of Defence, while originally he belongs to Ministerial Staff / cadre and is Assistant (BPS-14) in the Ministry of Defence.

The petition stated that he Fahad was illegally posted/transfer on deputation on three step higher promotion as Assistant Account Officer (BPS-17) by Military Accountant General (MAG) in May 2016 and he assumed the charge of the post of AAO (BPS-17) on 31.05.2016 in AN Section, in the Office of the MAG, Rawalpindi from where he was again posted in the Ministry of Defence as Section Officer (BPS-17).

Petitioner further stated that the promotion was made for personal interests and are illegal and against the rule of law.

Fahad is enjoying foreign trips and getting additional Rs. 6000 monthly as deputation allowance.

In the writ petition, it has been demanded to cancel this illegal deployment/promotion from the beginning and take back all financial benefits and facilities given him so far.
