Beijing, Sept 26 (TNS): Minister for Interior, Development, and Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that CPEC is an important platform for introduction of industrial development and innovative technology in Pakistan.
Talking to technology giant group’s top officials in China, Ahsan said that Pakistan’s economy has passed through the process of preservation and has reached the take-off position.
He said GDP soared to 5.3% during last three years which is highest growth rate has been achieved in last 10 years while the target to achieve the growth rate 6% this year.
The minister said that Pakistan is developing rapidly as it has a very skilled and capable young manpower – Pakistan is focusing on technical training of youth under 2025 vision.
Huawei President promised to send a team for the formation of a research center in Pakistan. The Interior Minister also visited Huawei Research Center.
During his China visit, besides participating in ministerial conference of Interpol, Ahsan Iqbal will hold discussion on security matters with his Chinese counterpart.
Ahsan Iqbal will also meet senior leadership of National Development and Reform Commission of China to review CPEC projects.
