Scam worth Rs110.19 million unearthed

LAHORE Oct 3 (TNS):  A scam worth Rs110.19 million has been unearthed in Punjab pertaining to repair and petrol expenses of vehicles.

As per details, counterfeit bills of 307 vehicles were attached in three years. Auditor General of Pakistan has raised many questions in this regard but to no avail. Tenders were awarded to auto-workshops by surpassing PEPRA rules.

Vehicles were used under name of Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Assistant Commissioner Lahore, DC Faisalabad and ministers including Malik Nadeem Kamran.

When contacted, departments concerned refused to give details in this regard.
