PTI’s key leader in Punjab quits party

LAHORE, Oct 3 (TNS): Another setback for as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) key leader in Punjab province Farooq Amjad Meer announced to quit the party.

Meer, defending his decision, said he was unhappy over the party’s politics.

 

“Despite repeated attempts, I failed to get even a single appointment to meet the party chairman in the last two years,” he said.

“I don’t have that many resource, like others in the party, to finance the political agenda of the PTI. I have resigned from the party and decided to establish a think-tank that will work on building a positive image of the country,” he added.

“Right now, everyone is talking about individuals, but nobody speaking about Pakistan.”

Meer maintained that he had not considered joining any other political party so far.
