RIYADH, Oct 4 (TNS): The relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in all fields, particularly in the field of security and defense cooperation, are excellent said Pakistan Ambassador Vice Adm. (retd) Khan Hasham Bin Saddique at a reception, Saudi Gazette reported.
Arshad Munir, consular at Consulate General of Pakistan, said in a statement that the ambassador praised and thanked Saudi Arabia for standing by Pakistan “not just in the times of need but at all times” and hoped that the cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened under the wise leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense.
Munir said, “The ambassador highlighted the achievements of the Pakistan armed forces in their successful defense of the country from conventional and unconventional threats.

Over the last few years, Pakistan has launched world’s largest military operations against terrorists killing and arresting thousands of them. As a result, there has been a five-fold decrease in terrorist attacks in the country and the lives lost in them. The event also showcased a short video highlighting the efforts and achievements of Pakistan armed forces in the fight against terrorism.
The reception was attended by Gen. (R) Raheel Sharif, commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), senior Saudi officials in Riyadh, ambassadors, diplomats, defense attaches and Pakistani community members in Riyadh.
