KARACHI, Oct 13 (TNS): National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi arrested gang of former district account officers in embezzlement, a press release issued on Friday said.
NAB has conducted a raid at Hyderabad today afternoon at the residence of employees of Bureau of Curriculum Sindh wherein 4 accused persons include Pir Bux Samo, Ex-Assistant Account Officer of Curriculum, his sons namely Mustansar and Muzaffar and his brother Prince Ali were arrested.

This gang was operated by Mushtaq Shaikh Ex District Accounts Officer who has already arrested by NAB and facing trial at Accountability Court. Pir Bux Samo is charged for preparing bogus bills and got them approved from District Accounts Office Hyderabad during Mushtaq Shaikh’s tenure of worth Rs 400 million and embezzled it in his own benefit and to the personal benefit of other accused persons by transferring it in personal accounts of his sons Mustansar and Muzaffar and brother Prince Ali. Mushtaq Shaikh has also been beneficiary of illegal proceeds of dirty money by way of incurring loss to the national exchequer.
The raids are underway and so far seizure and recovery includes cheque books, bank account details, 5 vehicles and property documents from the residences of accused persons. Search operation is being carried out at the pointation of arrested accused persons.
The arrested accused will be produced before Accountability Court at Hyderabad tomorrow for physical remand into NAB custody.
