Eight development projects costing around Rs4bn approved for Gilgit-Baltistan

GILGIT ISLAMABAD OCT 28 (TNS): The Gilgit Baltistan Development Working Party in its meeting in Gilgit has approved eight development projects costing three billion and seventy one crore rupees.

The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur -Rehman as its chairman.

The approved projects include establishment of rescue 1122 set ups in Ghizer and Astore, two hydel power project, Cadet College Chilas, and phase two of Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly project.

The DWP also approved fourteen RCC bridges in Baltistan, 23 bridges in Diamer, twenty six kilometer long road and two RCC bridges in Gilgit.

Chief Minister on the occasion directed the concerned officials to ensure quality of work and completion of development projects within stipulated time.
