Pakistan wants good relations with US based on mutual respect: Asif

Islamabad, Nov. 3 (TNS): Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan wants good relations with the United States based on mutual respect, state-run media reported on Friday.

In an interview, Asif said that Pakistan has rendered a lot of sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

He said India is involved in human rights violations and killing of innocent Kashmiris in occupied Kashmir.

The Foreign Minister said Pakistan will continue to extend its political, moral and diplomatic support to the just struggle for Kashmiris right to self-determination.

To a question, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said the present government will complete its constitutional tenure and the next general election will be held on time.

He said PML (N) is a big political party of the country and holds majority in the Parliament.

Khawaja Asif said economy of the country is improving due to the prudent policies of the PML-N government.

He said that allegations levelled by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have not been proven.
