Peshawar, Nov. 8 (TNS): Days after Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa widely criticized for using an official helicopter to attend a wedding, Pervez Khattak on Wednesday issued a statement banning VIP protocol for himself, including blocking of roads during his official visits.
According to statement issued by chief minister’s secretariat, no VIP protocol would be arranged during Khattak’s visits and only one security vehicle would accompany him.

“No roads will be blocked for his movement, no extra security personnel will be deployed on the route and no cavalcade of vehicles will be allowed,” the statement read.
Only those officials will be allowed to follow Khattak to brief him and will reach the vicinnity separately.
