Kabul, Nov. 14 (TNS): A key commander was among five militants affiliated with the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group were killed in US drone strike carried out in Afgahn eastern province near Pakistani border, Afghan media reported on Tuesday.
Afghan media said the airstrike was carried out in Nangarhar province late Monday night.
A top commander of ISIS was among five militants killed in latest drone attack, media reported.
Both the Taliban and ISIS militants attempt to expand their foothold in the key and remote districts of Nangarhar province.
The movements have forced the Afghan forces ad US forces based in Afghanistan to conduct regular operations and airstrikes to eliminate the terrorists from expanding their insurgency in this province.
