Threat Alert issued for Islamabad, Rawalpindi

Islamabad, Nov. 29 (TNS): Intelligence agencies on Wednesday issue an alert for possible terror threats to federal capital Islamabad and garrison city Rawalpindi.

TNS has learnt that Terrorists belong to ex-TTP (Sajna group) are planning to launch a suicide attack in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.

For the purpose, suspected suicide bombers possessing fake Pakistani passports have entered in Pakistan (from Afghanistan).

They are likely to target Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Schools and Military Hospitals in vicinity of Islamabad/Rawalpindi on opportune moment.

The information merits extreme vigilance and heightened security measures at all levels.

Soon after threat alert was issued, a Shia Imambargha in Islamabad I-8 sector was targeted as two worshipers have been killed and four sustained bullet injuries.
