Eid Milad-un-Nabi observed with religious fervor in Women Wards of Adiala Jail

RAWALPINDI Nov 30 (TNS): Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the Birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was observed in the Women Ward of Adiala Jail today with traditional religious zeal . Mr. Naveed Rauf Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Jails Rawalpindi Region was conspicuous as the Chief Guest.

Mr. Saeed Ullah Gondal Senior Superintendent, Mr. Khalid Basheer Additional Superintendent, Mr. Farkh Rasheed Deputy Superintendent, Mr. Hassan Mujtaba Deputy Superintendent, Samra Jabeen Lady Deputy Superintendent,Sameena  Zahoor  Social Welfare Officer, Fariya Munawwar Women Medical Officer, Sameena Azmat and Sobia Noor Lady Assistant  Superintendents among others were also present.

Women inmates of Adiala Jail participated in Recitation of Holy Quran, Naat and Speech on Seerart-u-Nabi Contests.

In Recitation of Holy Quran Contest, Amrat got the 1st position Recitation, Raj Sanam won the 2nd position and Naila Yaqoob got the 3rd position. A girl child inmate Mahnoor also participated in Recitation of Holy Quran Contest and was given a special gift.

In Naat Contest, Anum Javed got the 1st position, Farzana Zameer won the 2nd position and Naila Afzal got the 3rd position. A girl child inmate Sawera also participated in Naat Contest and was given a special gift.

In Speech contest on Seerart-u-Nabi, Ayesha Sabir got the 1st position, Anum Arshad won the 2nd position and Farah Naz got the 3rd position.

DIG Jails Rawalpindi Region Mr. Naveed Rauf distributed trophies among the position holders.

Packs of gifts, sweetmeat, special Zarda (sweet rice) were among the 250 packets of Savour Food which were given to the women inmates.

On the occasion women inmates presented Darood Sharif which is recited 1179420 times in two months.

All the women inmates wards were beautifully decorated with lights, Islamic flags and banners bearing the writings about the celebration of the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). The wards remained illuminated throughout.

DIG Jails Rawalpindi Region Mr. Naveed Rauf appreciated the arrangements made by the jail administration and said such ceremonies should be held in future as well.
